Bush's Claim that he Saw TV Footage of 1st Plane Hitting WTC

On this page we've posted the transcript of remarks in which George W. Bush made two claims:

* First, that he saw the first plane hit the World Trade Center while he was in the hall at the Booker School, before sitting in on a reading class. This would be in or around 9 AM;

* Second, that he only realized the U.S. was under terrorist attack after 9:06, when his chief of staff, Andrew Card, told him that a second plane had hit the World Trade Center.

Regarding Mr. Bush, the important question on the morning of 9-11 is: "What can we be sure he knew, and when?"

This is vital because given the nature of the attack, and the fact that he would be an obvious target, Mr. Bush had positive obligations *as soon as he knew* what was happening.

A great deal of effort has been expended to convince all of us that Mr. Bush did not know there was a national emergency until the second plane hit the World Trade Center. That's what Mr. Bush said at the 'Town Hall Meeting" in Orlando, Florida on 4 December 2001. He repeated the same argument, in almost the same words, at a later meeting in California.

Assuming Mr. Bush were innocent of criminal involvement in the events of 9-11, there is solid evidence that he would have known a terrorist attack using commercial jets was underway around 8:45, and possibly earlier. (Obviously, if he is guilty, he knew much earlier.) But he claims he only found out roughly 21 minutes later.

If we are right, if his claim that he did not realize the seriousness of the attack - or indeed, that there was an attack - until after the second plane hit - if we are right that this is a lie - the implications are very serious.

If he is lying, then he deliberately shirked obligations - including the obligation to contact his military command. If he is lying, what he said in Orlando was a deliberate effort to cover-up for either criminal negligence or treason. And if it is treason he is hiding, then it follows that elements of the US military and the US government were involved in the planning of 9-11.

So a lot hangs on whether Mr. Bush told the truth in Orlando.

A White House Briefing was published with a transcript of the Orlando meeting during which Mr. Bush took questions from local people. During the meeting, a boy named Jordan, a third grade student (about 8 years old) asked Bush how he had felt on 9-11. Mr. Bush answered with what we will show was an elaborate lie.

Below is the part with the exchange between Bush and Jordan. This text is unaltered except that there are two comments by me. The comments are clearly indicated.

Q Mr. President, I want to say they haven't won. I got in my car today, and I'm in the same building with you, speaking to you. They have not won.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Thank you very much.

Q And would you say hello to my son, Jordan, and my daughter, Patricia?

PRESIDENT BUSH: Jordan and who?

Q Patricia.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Hi, Patricia. How are you?

How old is Patricia?

Q Five, and Jordan's in third grade. And Jordan has the question, if I could give him the microphone.

PRESIDENT BUSH: You bet. That's -- your mother's relaying the mike to you, Jordan.

Q One thing, Mr. President, is that you have no idea how much you've done for this country. And another thing is that -- how did you feel when you heard about the terrorist attack?

PRESIDENT BUSH: Well -- (applause) -- thank you, Jordan.

Well, Jordan, you're not going to believe where -- what state I was in when I heard about the terrorist attack. I was in Florida. And my chief of staff, Andy Card -- well, actually I was in a classroom, talking about a reading program that works. And it -- I was sitting outside the -- the classroom, waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower of a -- of a -- you know, the TV was obviously on, and I -- I used to fly myself, and I said, "Well, there's one terrible pilot." And I said it must have been a horrible accident.

First, at 9am on September 11th, when Bush was at the Booker School, there was no TV footage of the first plane hitting the World Trade Center for the very good reason that the TV news people didn't know it was going to happen. As Peter Jennings said on ABC *after* the second plane hit the World Trade Center, that is, after the time when Bush claims he saw TV footage of the first crash:

"JENNINGS:... No, nobody who saw--watching "Good Morning America" today, for example, saw, at least those of us working on television, saw a first plane crash into the building. Much of the country watching television this morning will have seen the second plane crash into the other tower, and we have, as you can see from a distance there, until we get our cameras on the ground producing material which we can put on the air, a pretty limited view."

Video footage did surface later. But at 9 AM on September 11, 2001 Mr. Bush *could not have seen* the first plane hitting the World Trade Center on TV. Period.

This in itself does not prove Mr. Bush was consciously lying.

It is theoretically possible that Mr. Bush's memory played a trick on him. There might have been a TV in the hallway of the Booker, and it might have been tuned to the News, and Bush might therefore have heard about the WTC crash and seen footage of the building burning and later he might have thought he remembered seeing footage of the plane hitting the building. Theoretically, this might be the case.

However, based on the testimony of Gwen Tose Rigell, Principal of the Booker School, where Bush was that morning, in fact this was *not* the case.

Principal Rigell is quoted by MSNBC reporter Ashleigh Banfield as saying:

"'I actually heard the first plane had hit from the president, and he said that a plane had hit the World Trade Center and that it was a commercial plane,' says Rigell. 'He said but we're going to go on, and in my mind I had created this picture of a plane knocking off some bricks on the corner of the World Trade Center.'" (1) {End quote from Rigell}

Obviously if Principal Rigell's school had had a TV in the hallway tuned to news of the World Trade Center burning, everyone would have flocked around it and Rigell would have seen it too. She would not have formed a false impression "in my mind". She and everyone else in the school would have known the attack was *very* serious.

In that case Principal Rigell would not have told MSNBC, "I actually heard the first plane had hit from the president," and she would not have said, "I had created this picture of a plane knocking off some bricks in the corner of the World Trade Center," meaning it was a minor incident. Instead she would have said, "I watched the gruesome news on TV." (1)

So Bush lied.

The question asked by the little boy afforded Bush the opportunity to lie about what he did at the Booker School, using the child as a disarming prop.

[BUSH:] But I was whisked off there; I didn't have much time to think about it. And I was sitting in the classroom, and Andy Card, my chief of staff, who is sitting over here, walked in and said, "A second plane has hit the tower. America's under attack."

And Jordan, I wasn't sure what to think at first. You know, I grew up in a -- a period of time where the idea of America being under attack never entered my mind, just like your daddy and mother's mind, probably.

And I started thinking hard, in that very brief period of time, about what it meant to be under attack. I knew that when I got all the facts, if we were under attack, there would be hell to pay for attacking America. (Applause, cheers.)

I tried to get as many facts as I could, Jordan, to make sure I knew, as I was making decisions, there were -- that I knew exactly what I was basing my decisions on. I've got a fabulous team. A president can't possibly be president without a good team. Starts with having a great wife, by the way. (Applause.)

And so I got on the phone from Air Force One asking to find out the facts. You've got to understand, Jordan, during this period of time, there were all kinds of rumors floating around. Some of them were erroneous. Obviously, we -- for example, there was a news report saying that the State Department had been attacked. I needed to know what the facts were. But I knew I needed to act. I knew that if the nation's under attack, the role of the commander-in-chief is to respond forcefully to prevent other attacks from happening. And so I talked to the secretary of Defense, and one of the first acts I did was put our military on alert.

[This is 100% double-talk. First, consider Bush's assertion that "I was whisked off there; I didn't have much time to think about it."

What does he mean, "I was whisked off"? Who whisked him? Is Bush saying he doesn't control his own locomotion? Is he telling us he was *forced* to sit in a classroom laughing and even cheering as kids practiced reading a story about goats - because that is where he went and what he did - instead of conferring with his military command, which is the positive obligation of the Commander in Chief during a national emergency. (4)

According to the MSNBC article on Bush's visit to the Booker, quoted above, Bush wasn't whisked anywhere. Quite the contrary, it was he who informed the school Principal, Ms. Rigell, that despite the crash, he would continue as planned and sit in on the reading class. As noted earlier, the Booker Principal, Ms. Rigell, said, according to MSNBC:

"I actually heard the first plane had hit from the president, and he said that a plane had hit the World Trade Center and that it was a commercial plane,' says Rigell. 'He said but we're going to go on..."(1)

"We're going to go on" means, "I will be observing the reading class." Note that he was not asking permission nor was he being told what to do. There was no "whisking."

Bush says "I was whisked off" because he wants to create the impression that he was moved around by his overly-efficient staff too quickly to have time to absorb what he had, supposedly, just seen on TV. Of course, if Bush had actually seen TV footage of the World Trade Center crash he would have heard what everyone else watching the TV was hearing after 9AM - that this was a terrorist attack. The biggest terrorist attack in U.S. history.

And while we're noting, note also that Bush claims he *first* learned of the attack just before he went into the classroom. But according to the article on MSNBC:

'The limousine stops and the president comes out,' says [Booker School Principal] Rigell. 'He walks towards me. I’m standing here in a lineup; there are about five people. He walks over and says he has to make a phone call, and he’ll be right back.'
[MSNBC comments:] "That phone call was to National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice. It was the first inkling the president would get about what was to unfold."

So if Bush first heard about the World Trade Center crash from the TV, what was he talking to Condoleezza about? And if he spoke to Condollezza Rice, why didn't she tell him that the FAA knew it was a *hijacked plane* that hit the World Trade Center?

Let us return to Bush's claim that he was "whisked" into the reading class at the Booker. He describes a similar inability to control his movements in recounting his supposed response after Andrew Card came into the classroom and whispered something in his ear. This was about 9:06.

We are told that Card whispered that the second World Trade Center tower had been hit and "America is under attack," but of course we don't know that that is what Card really said. We only know that he whispered something.

Anyway, Bush told the meeting in Florida that he had the following reaction: "I started thinking hard, in that very brief period of time, about what it meant to be under attack. I knew that when I got all the facts, if we were under attack, there would be hell to pay for attacking America."

Now really, what is this man saying? "I started thinking hard...about what it meant to be under attack"? This guy is the Commander in Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces and planes are flying into buildings and he is having an existential moment? Why doesn't he get up and get out of there and do his job? And if indeed Card did tell him that a second *hijacked* plane - because the Federal Aviation Administration knew these planes were hijacked (3) - had hit the World Trade Center, how could he doubt that "America is under attack"?

In this quote Bush is attempting to accomplish three somewhat contradictory things.

One thing is to picture himself as only having learned the full truth at 9:06, when Andrew Card whispered something in his ear. The goal here is to explain away his *failure to do his job* before 9:06.

Second, he is also trying to get us to sympathize with him - make us feel that he was, like most of us, stunned by the news. So how can we blame him if, like us, he didn't immediately know what to do? That's why his script writers gave him the following lines: "The idea of America being under attack never entered my mind, just like your daddy and mother's mind, probably..."

Previously Bush said that he saw a TV News report on the first plane hitting the World Trade Center. And yet the possibility that "America was under attack" never crossed his mind? Is he comatose?

Then comes the line, "I started thinking hard, in that very brief period of time, about what it meant to be under attack." So, never having conceived the possibility of his country being attacked, he was stunned, just like Jordan's mother and daddy who, he suggests, are also as dumb as a post.

The problem with Bush's "You-Were-Stunned, I-Was Stunned" line of defense is that the Secret Service had open lines to the FAA starting at around 8:45 AM, according to Vice President Cheney. (2)

Now, the FAA knew that Flight 11 had been hijacked at 8:20, or so they say. And it was Flight 11 that hit the World Trade Center. One would assume that the FAA imparted this information to the Secret Service when they took the emergency measure of setting up open lines. Therefore the Secret Service knew that "America is under attack" around 8:45, well before Mr. Bush and his staff, including the Secret Service, arrived at the Booker School. And this was about 21 minutes before Andrew Card whispered whatever he whispered in Mr. Bush's ear.

And while the Secret Service does not talk to Jordan's "daddy and mother", presumably they do talk to President Bush.

Bush is also trying to accomplish a third thing here, which is to give people the impression that he's tough and competent, that he quickly recovered, rolled up his sleeves and did his job. The idea is, we Americans may be remarkably obtuse, but once we get riled, we get mean.

So he says that he remained frozen with shock for only a "very brief period of time" - and then he vowed revenge ("there would be hell to pay") and got down to the hard work of gathering those all-important but elusive facts because, "the role of the commander-in-chief is to respond forcefully to prevent other attacks from happening." And therefore he "got on the phone from Air Force One asking to find out the facts." In order, you understand, to prevent other attacks from happening.

Here Bush fails to mention one thing: he couldn't have been "on the phone from Air Force One" until around 10:00 AM Eastern time because that's approximately when Air Force One taxied down the runway to depart Sarasota-Brandenton Int'l Airport.

Which was almost an hour after Andrew Card whispered whatever he whispered in Bush's ear.

Which was also almost an hour after the FAA took the very extreme measure of closing the air corridor between Cleveland and New York. (3)

And which was an hour and 15 minutes after the Secret Service went on emergency open lines with the Federal Aviation Administration (according to VP Cheney). (2)

Not to mention that it was one hour and 40 minutes after the FAA says they knew Flight 11 had been hijacked out of Boston. (3)

And by that time the other attacks had happened.

According to the media this morning, just four days before Hans Blix and his inspection teams arrived in Iraq to start work, the wily President Saddam Hussein ordered that all of his weapons of mass destruction [nuclear, chemical and biological] be transferred through Syria and Turkey to ports outside the Multinational Coalition Blockade in the Persian Gulf, where they were to be loaded onto three giant ships, and shipped quietly into the vast anonymity of the Indian Ocean.
American sources confirmed they had been shadowing the three large vessels at a considerable distance, but were reluctant to board or take direct action at this early stage, because any such approach might lead to the deliberate scuttling of the three vessels, in turn leading to an environmental catastrophe in the Indian Ocean. To be honest it all sounded like the same old propaganda, but we decided to take a closer look at the claims.
Sadly perhaps, the media hacks are quite right this time around, and subsidiary Vialls Intelligence Nuclear Observers [VINO for short] has the dubious pleasure of bringing you a world exclusive on the obscene subject of Weapons of Mass Destruction in the Indian Ocean. First we hacked into the back door of a satellite earth station to locate the vessels, then grabbed and labeled the three frames shown below. Each numbered frame represents one of the three ships, and shows their exact positions in the Indian Ocean at 0405 hrs GMT today.



But would this be enough to satisfy a skeptical public? VINO thought it would not, and thus went to the further trouble of zooming in on the ships themselves, established their exact identities, and then sought to clarify the true nature of their deadly cargoes. This was a risky business, especially when our operators discovered all ship’s crew members were armed to the teeth with pistols, automatic rifles, grenade launchers, surface to air, and surface to surface missiles all for defensive purposes you understand.
It was below decks that the true horror started to sink in. Lurking in the gloom was a neat row of tactical nuclear laser-guided bombs ready for delivery, a special locked area for a large number of 1,000# GP chemical carrier bombs loaded with the latest VM aerosol, and a smaller number of strange looking aerial weapons, apparently designed to shatter communications over a radius of 500 nautical miles.
If scuttled intentionally or accidentally, the cargoes alone would be enough to trigger a major environmental catastrophe in the Indian Ocean. But then, horror of horrors, we discovered that two of the three giant ships were nuclear powered, each running two active reactors. If any of the four individual reactors went critical and in turn chain-detonated the cargo, the staggering blast effect and tidal waves would be felt as far away as Australia and South Africa.
The names of the three mystery ships currently roaming the Indian Ocean loaded to the gunwales with weapons of mass destruction are the Abraham Lincoln, Harry S. Truman and the Constellation. Unfortunately for the media, these ships are not the property of Saddam Hussein, but the property of crazed American Zionists determined to murder Iraqi women and children by the tens of thousands, using exactly those Weapons of Mass Destruction the Iraqis themselves stand accused of hoarding.



In July 1992, Los Alamos conducted a high-level briefing called "Potential Uses for Low-Yield Nuclear Weapons in the New World Order." One theme of the briefing was that in future showdowns with Third World states, "we need options besides defeat or use of inappropriately large [nuclear] weapons."
It was proposed that America re-develop and deploy "micronukes" with a yield of some 10 tons of TNT, and new "mininukes" with a yield of 100 to 300 tons. Los Alamos considered that an earth-penetrator micro with a yield of just 10 tons could, "hold buried leadership and C3 at risk." And it could do that while keeping "collateral damage very localized."
Unfortunately for the Iraqis, Zionists are not much exercised by the level of collateral damage, and even believe the mass killing of civilians helps to sap enemy morale. And so it was that the latest B61 Mod. 11 earth-penetrator was born a lightweight deep-diving killer with a yield of 300 rather than 10 tons TNT equivalent. The picture below shows a B2 Stealth bomber dropping this exact weapon over Groom Lake [Area 51] on 20 November, 1996.

Despite its ability to pack a 300 ton underground nuclear punch, the B61 Mod. 11 weighs only 1,200 pounds, and is specifically designed for delivery by carrier-borne FA-18 Hornet jets. All three American carriers in the Indian Ocean carry Hornets, and all three carriers have an onboard stock of B61 Mod. 11 bombs, adapted for laser guidance. When America attacks Iraq these weapons will be used against civilian air raid shelters, because this is the Zionist End Game, where no holds are barred.
Donald Rumsfeld has a special surprise for any Iraqis still living who might wish to resist enforced American democracy, in the form of the spooky chemical bombs loaded onto all three aircraft carriers. Designed to burst at low level and disperse a fine aerosol mist over the Iraqi people, these terrifying weapons are materially exactly the same as the VX chemical weapons owned by America and Israel, with the single exception of the exact aerosol payload.
Instead of VX nerve gas, these, humane 1,000# chemical weapons are loaded with Valium aerosol, designed, in the exact words of the demented American Defense Secretary, only to pacify the Iraqi people. Take it from me, anyone within 20 meters of the bomb burst will choke to death instantly on the concentrated aerosol, and all small woman and children within 50 meters of the bomb burst will choke to death somewhat more slowly. There is no such thing as a non-lethal gas weapon, but Bush has given Rumsfeld the nod to use them anyway.
The smaller number of EMP [Electro Magnetic Pulse] weapons on all three carriers are barely out of the experimental phase, but badly need to be tested in a combat environment. In basic terms, EMP weapons are designed to disrupt all communications frequencies in the target country by producing thousands of volts and 10 million amps in a microsecond, thereby preventing effective Command Control Communication intelligence [C3I] interaction between military command and field levels.
Unfortunately, and for reasons not yet fully understood by scientists, the generated EMP effect commonly repeats itself more than once, and has the disturbing ability to skip hundreds of miles, thereby trashing the communications abilities and hardware of nearby countries not involved in the invasion. In this context, an EMP weapon dropped by America on Iraq, has the proven ability to disrupt communications in Greece, Turkey, Israel, Jordan and Iran.
Perhaps it is time to revisit the media’s insane claim at the beginning of this report that Saddam Hussein shipped his [alleged] weapons of mass destruction out of the region by ship. Get real people, get real! Iraq is under constant aerial scrutiny, every port in the region is heavily policed, and American warships are known to board whatever vessel they want to in International Waters, with the arrogance of seasoned and extremely bad-mannered pirates.
The only weapons of mass destruction in the Indian Ocean belong to America, and it is up to the American people to stop their deranged officials in Washington from using them. Should they fail to do so during the weeks and months to come, it is entirely possible that the job will have to be done by outsiders. The American Empire is dead, long live America

Gulf War Vets Question Who Started the Oil Well Fires In Kuwait

For the past six years, the American Gulf War Veterans Association have received numerous reports from veterans stating that US forces were responsible for the setting of the oil well fires at the end of the Gulf War. These testimonies are now being taken very seriously in light of recent revelations of the events that occurred during the first Gulf War.

Joyce Riley, spokesperson for The American Gulf War Veterans Association is quoted as saying: "There was intentional misinformation given to the American people to generate support for Desert Storm often created by advertising agencies such as Hill and Knowlton."

· Revelations regarding the "Incubator story," in which Republican Guard were reported to have thrown babies out of their incubators onto the cold floor turned out to be false and a "fraud on the American People." (S.R. 103-900).

·The St. Petersburg Times disproved the report of satellite photos showing a thousand Iraqi tanks amassing on the Saudi border.

· April Glaspie, US Ambassador, gave tacit approval to Saddam Hussein to invade Iraq by saying, "We have no opinion onÖyour border dispute with Kuwait."

· John Shalikashvilli, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and William Perry, Secretary of Defense wrote in a memo (obtained by the AGWVA) on May 25, 1994, "There is no information, classified or unclassified that indicates that chemical or biological weapons were used in the Persian Gulf." General Norman Schwartzkopf's NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) logs (also obtained by the AGWVA) dated Feb. 27, 1991, and March 3, 1991, clearly disprove the above statement.

One veteran has now stepped forward and given a detailed account of how he and others in special teams, moved forward of the front, (behind enemy lines ahead of US forces) and then set charges on the well heads. "We were mustered into the briefing tent at which point a gentleman whom I first had thought to be an American began to brief us on the operation. I was concerned because he was not wearing a US uniform and insignias."

The information provided over a series of meetings with this veteran corroborates reports from other veterans who are totally unconnected with this individual. This testimony brings into serious question the integrity of the US government, as it provided information to the American public and military during the last Gulf War.

The American Gulf War Veterans Association is presently dissenting on the war and has been joined by The British Gulf War Veterans and Families Association. Riley states that: "Not only is it our opinion that the Department of Defense has not been forthcoming about the severity of our military's illnesses, significant concern is now being raised over the causation as well."

Truth about Columbia crash

Claims by NASA that a ten-pound chunk of soft water-resistant foam caused severe damage to the heat tiles on Columbia’s port [left] wing" are absurd. At the time the foam broke away from the main fuel tank, shortly after launch, Columbia had a velocity of only 513-mph, rendering the oblique glancing impact of the soft foam completely insignificant.
Think about it people, think about it! This is a craft designed to withstand the impact of minor space debris while in orbit, and then cope with enormous temperatures during re-entry to earth’s atmosphere. The heat tiles are even designed in such a way that if you lose a few {and some have been lost in the past], the Shuttle will easily survive to fly another day.
All we have to do is ignore the NASA fundraisers, ignore the blatantly forged Israeli picture proving that Columbia had "cracks and a dent" in its left wing, and focus on hard data which were made available on the actual day of the catastrophe, before NASA could start changing the ground rules.
Real-time telemetry provides us with the proper sequence of events, which are as follows: There was an asymmetric 45F temperature increase in the left wing, reported by heat sensors located next to the left main wheel bay. Then these sensors failed completely, followed by failure of those sensors which normally report the tire pressures of the left main wheels, which are located inside the left wheel bay. By any reasonable analysis, at this point we have a serious problem next to, and also inside, the left main wheel bay. Most probable cause [indicated by the sensors] would be fire.
Next up, the real-time telemetry records sudden and massive drag on the left wing; drag so incredibly severe that the emergency retro-rockets fired in an attempt to correct the Shuttle’s attitude. Losing a few heat tiles would produce no significant drag at all, because they would have already left the craft and be trailing far behind in its slipstream. Got it so far? But what if Columbia lost 50 tiles, or even more. Exactly how would this affect the space vehicle during re-entry? Well, there would have been a much steeper increase in asymmetric temperature than was recorded by the sensors, but still very little drag, because there is a perfectly streamlined wing surface existing immediately underneath the tiles.

NASA’s Israeli buddies with the forged photograph [above] are already inferring that American Negligence led to the death of their war hero Colonel Ramon, a charming fellow who bombed a fully-fueled nuclear reactor back in 1981. If Columbia’s left wing had fractured and fallen off as implied, the drag on the left wing would have decreased dramatically because of the decreased wing area, leading directly to a corresponding massive increase in drag on the right wing. Aerodynamic fact and real-time telemetry prove this Israeli claim to be absolutely impossible, so now is the time for the Zionists to get their grubby little hands out of America’s hip pocket.
Having ruled out the impossible, and ruled out the deliberate misinformation, we are now left with a crystal clear picture of exactly what we are looking for. The disintegration of the space shuttle Columbia was initiated by massive drag on the left wing, which of itself could only have been caused by a very large appendage still attached to the left side of the vehicle.
Forget any [highly likely] later NASA claims of "space junk" being the culprit, because any such claim is proved 100% invalid by the hard evidence. We know that the temperatures increased in the left wing, and we know that Columbia suffered massive drag on the left side. If space junk had damaged the left side, remember that drag would have been on the right side. There is no way out of this reality for NASA.
So what was this very large appendage? We know the problem was in the direct vicinity of the left wheel bay, and we know there was excessive heat immediately before the drag commenced. Ask yourself what happens to a car tire if it gets way too hot. It explodes, doesn’t it? And when one or more steel-reinforced tires explode, they hurl large chunks of debris all over the place.
First logical culprit is the door covering the left wheel bay, dented by the explosion and now suddenly blocking the slipstream. It is a tempting thought, but the wheel bay doors are very lightweight in construction and Columbia was travelling at Mach 18, approximately 12,000 miles per hour. As with any conventional airliner at its normal cruising speed, the wheel bay door would have snapped off clean at the hinges and vanished in a few microseconds, leaving no significant drag at all.



Put bluntly, there is only one part of Columbia capable of creating sustained drag on the left wing to the point of disintegration, and that is the immensely strong titanium-alloy left main wheel leg and axle assembly, attached directly to Columbia’s main spar. If the exploding tire or tires seriously damaged the hydraulics, the left main wheel assembly would start to deploy, causing exactly the same drag as that shown by the real-time NASA telemetry. Let us be quite clear on this point the left main wheel leg and axle assembly is the only, repeat only, appendage on Columbia capable of causing the massive drag.
Identical damage has been suffered in the past by a limited number of combat aircraft, but the end result is always the same. Unable to cope with the sudden massive asymmetric drag, the airframe, stressed beyond endurance, starts to separate. Combat pilots have a chance of survival if they swiftly activate their ejector seats, but there were no ejector seats fitted to Columbia. Even if there were, the ejector seats would have been useless. You cannot bang-out at 207,000 feet and 12,000 miles per hour.
What caused the fire and then the left tire or tires to explode is an entirely different matter. It could have been a genuine accident, or it might have been sabotage before flight Of particular interest is the fact that Columbia’s wheels are on a very small list of items which are allowed to leave the NASA high security zone. Each tire is only good for a single landing, meaning that before take off, all of the wheels were removed to be shod with new rubber.
It seems quite likely that the American Government’s fake warning about toxic debris from Columbia is designed to scare people away from the wreckage, leaving it relatively forensically intact for a series of tests, including any possible explosives residue on the remaining fragments of left wheels and tires.
Somebody help me out here. Was it Russia or France who supplied the nuclear reactor to Iraq: the very same fully-fueled reactor at Osiraq that was subsequently destroyed by war hero Colonel Ilan Ramon?

The Governor of Oklahoma Frank Keating has a brother, Martin Keating, who also happens to be a writer. Four years BEFORE the Oklahoma City bombing actually occurred he submitted a manuscript for publication. The manuscript, now published as “The Final Jihad,” tells the story of a group of terrorists based in Oklahoma City who decide to bomb a federal building there. However in the book the bombing never occurs because the terrorists are stopped by a highway patrolman for a broken tail light; in much the same way that Timothy McVeigh was stopped for speeding whilst leaving Oklahoma City.

Stranger still is book’s blurb which claims that: “Martin Keating is a master storyteller with unique access to government intelligence agencies and clandestine terrorist groups. His brother Frank Keating, currently governor of Oklahoma, is a former FBI agent and assistant secretary of the Treasury who supervised the Secret Service, U.S. Customs, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. Keating's uncle, Barney Martin was a career intelligence officer who headed the U.S. Navy's worldwide foreign intelligence collection operations and counterintelligence activities.

Introduced to the intelligence community through generations of family involvement, Martin Keating knows intimate details of what the rest of us can only imagine.” But get this: the villain of Keating’s tale is not called Tim McVeigh but . . . Tom McVey.

ALL my life I have been petrified of flying. I was scared even as a small child, so much so that my father, who shared this phobia, used to give me Valium before a flight. My mother once sent me to a hypnotist, who claimed he could cure any fears . . . not mine. For years I travelled with a "How to take the fear out of flying" book in my hand.

Three days ago, my mother, my brother Ben, my cousin Cosima and her two children, my two boys and I and the nanny, Rose, set off for Gatwick, where we were to take a flight to Nairobi to spend 10 days on safari. I had the usual feelings of discomfort but as I was very busy organising my children (aged 20 months and four years) I did not think too much about the flight.

Normally, I say to at least one person before I fly, "If I get there safely. . . of course you know we could crash". My two brothers and I have done this for years, believing that by predicting we are going to crash we can somehow narrow the odds of it actually occurring. Apparently the probability of dying in a plane crash is minute, less than that of being kicked in the head by a donkey (someone once told me) and, of course, far less than that of being killed in a car travelling to and from the airport. It may seem strange logic but it is our particular superstitious ritual.

On this occasion, I had neglected to perform the ritual. Ten minutes before arriving at the airport, my brother Zac called me on my mobile. It was a very bad line as he was calling from a satellite phone in Mexico. His tone was urgent. "I have been having some strange dreams about you all, about the flight. Promise you will leave a message on my mobile when you arrive to say you have got there safely." I laughed nervously. "What kind of dreams? You are scaring me. . ." The line was so bad after that I could not hear anything else. However, I wasn't that worried by his dream, as he is as neurotic as I am about flying.

We boarded the flight, which was full to capacity. My mother was sitting in the front of the cabin. My brother was behind her and I was in the two middle seats with Kasim on my lap and Sulaiman on the seat next to me. Take-off was fine . . . a few nervous glances exchanged between my brother and I but, despite our fears, it was smooth.

As take-off is the bit I dread most (statistically most accidents occur during take-off and landing), after counting to a hundred, I relaxed. It was a night flight and I managed to get my children off to sleep, surprisingly easily. Then I settled down to sleep myself. There was a lot of what is known as "light to moderate air turbulence" during the night and, as usual, I sought frequent reassurance from the most sympathetic looking air stewardess. I called her three times during the night: "Is everything all right?" "Yes, everything is fine. We are flying over mountains and this is just clear air turbulence." A different air steward, noticing my fearful expression, promised to circulate the cabin during turbulence every 10 minutes and give me a smile and a thumbs-up sign.

I could not sleep and was keeping awake my baby, who was sleeping on top of me, so I handed him over to the nanny. And after one more grin and a thumbs-up from Mr Nice Air Steward, the last image in my mind, I fell asleep about five hours into the flight. The next thing I knew, the plane was in an abrupt dive, engines shrieking. A woman next to me was screaming and I heard my mother cry out: "Oh my God." The first thing I thought was, "It must be a terrible storm", but I could see cloudless blue sky out of the window. My brother shouted out, "Someone ask the captain, ask the captain", and I remember shouting at him: "Ben, be quiet!"

The nose of the plane heaved up for a second and shuddered violently as the engines seemed to stall and the passenger alarms sounded repeatedly. I could hear another sound like a siren coming from somewhere behind me I remember thinking, "After all my needless neurosis, it is actually happening".

Then the plane went into a steep nose dive. A trolley rammed into an air stewardess behind me, breaking her ankle, the oxygen mask fell out, another air stewardess was crawling up the aisle on all fours, and all the cabin lights went out. I could hear my brother shouting, "We are going to die" and could see him holding my mother's hand over the top of the chair.

The plane levelled out for a moment and it felt as if the pilot was struggling to regain control and then again started shuddering violently and the engines seemed to stall for a second time. More screams from people around me. For some reason I was most aware of my brother's fear. I could see grey smoke pouring out of the left engine, the plane veered over and then dived again sharply downwards this time as if it was about to flip over.

There was an eerie silence that was even more frightening than the shuddering of the plane and the screaming. There were no engine noises and no screams, just a whistling noise from outside, and moaning from some of the passengers. We were below the clouds and I could see the ground clearly. I was terrifyingly conscious and I thought, "Very soon, we are going to die". This time it felt as if we were falling forever.

My brother said goodbye to my mother, who had tears streaming down her face. It was exactly as I had imagined a plane crash to be and I remember thinking, "How weird that I am going to die the way I have always feared dying". There was a sense of deja vu as I had envisaged it so many times before, except that it all took so much longer than I had imagined, not instant at all, as everyone supposes, and the adrenalin made me acutely aware of what was happening. My Sulaiman was clinging to me and I had one hand holding my seat belt and one hand on him, trying to calm him. He was looking at my face the entire time.

We waited, seemingly forever, for the inevitable impact or explosion and for it all to be over, waiting for blackness, praying it would not hurt. The strange thing is that all my life I have been a coward yet when my worst fears were realised I was completely calm. Death seemed inevitable and screaming pointless. I could see the terror on Sulaiman's face. It was only maternal instinct that enabled me to retain my composure. He was panicking, looking out of the plane window and I was holding him and saying repeatedly: "Darling, it is all right. Everything is fine, we are going to be fine." And all the time thinking, "Please let it be quick. Please don't let his last minutes be filled with fear or pain". Then the plane lunged up for a moment and I thought, "Oh God, this is torture, when is it going to end?"

I became aware again of noises coming from the other passengers. A woman behind me was moaning and I could hear the noise of a man howling at the front of the plane and another crying next to me. I screamed out: "Everyone pray. Everyone pray."

I heard my brother then praying out loud: "God help us." Then I heard a Muslim woman behind me who I had noticed earlier playing with her tusbi (prayer beads) praying: "Bism'Allah al Rahman al Rahim." Then I heard myself praying very loudly: "Oh God help us. Don't let us die now. Please save us." (Sulaiman later told me: "Amma I prayed too, I prayed, 'Allah please help us'.")

Then more shuddering and the pilot seemed to be bringing the plane under control. And after a few seconds of stunned silence, as we all waited for the next plunge, an announcement from the pilot, out of breath and in a broken voice: "A bad man just tried to kill us all but everything is fine now."

A second of relief that it was a man, not a technical problem. After a few more minutes, the pilot came on again and I remember thinking he sounded just like Sean Connery: "I probably sound a bit more normal now. A man entered the cockpit and tried to crash the plane but he has been restrained and everything is all right."

Then I broke down and started crying. People around me were also crying and comforting each other. And I was thinking, "We are alive, God saved us", but we were still not sure it was all over, as I heard someone say that the man had been shouting that he had a friend on board and I was also afraid that the engines of the plane had been damaged. I tried to get back to Kasim but couldn't because there were injured people in the galley. Finally I reached him and miraculously he was still asleep, (the only sleeping person on the whole plane) and Rose was shaking with tears and fright.

A friend of my cousins, Lucy, who we had seen at the airport, described to us how this mad man, our would-be assassin, who had caused problems at Gatwick at check-in, had been sitting in front of her in the upstairs cabin. When he had seen the captain leave the cockpit, he had run in and attacked the co-pilot, grabbing the controls of the plane and thrusting them downwards, disengaging the autopilot.

The upstairs passengers heard a scream from the cockpit and someone shouted, "There's a man in there" and four of them broke down the cockpit doors, wrestled the intruder to the ground, gouging his eyes in the process. The captain, who was bitten on the ear and the finger in the struggle, later said that if the drama had lasted four or five seconds longer, the co-pilot would not have been able to regain control because the plane was about to flip on its back.

Undoubtedly, the quick reactions and experience of the crew, the courage of the passengers who intervened and the resilience of the plane are what saved us. In the future, airline safety guidelines will have to be reconsidered and the door to the cockpit must have some kind of coded lock on it to prevent anything similar happening again.

Such is the human's incredible capacity to block out traumatic experiences, even hours afterwards, that I felt as if it was all a distant memory or as if what I was relating had in fact happened to somebody else. And one of the reasons that I wanted to write about it, apart from the fact that writing is so cathartic, is that I do not want subconsciously to edit events to such a degree that in a few weeks I have forgotten that feeling of wonder at having survived or my gratitude towards God for answering our prayers and the subsequent promises that I made to be a better person.

And if, in the future, I become complacent about life or ungrateful or depressed, which I am sure I will at some point, all I need to do is close my eyes and remember this experience to remind me of how vulnerable we are and how fortunate we are to be alive.

Wars and Rumours of Wars

Saddam Hussein assumed power in a CIA sponsored coup in the late 1960's. He was subsequently armed and equipped by various western powers during his war with Iran. Then, during the Gulf War, when those same powers were in a position to remove him they didn't. Instead, according to Rodney Stich in 'Defrauding America': “in November 1989, White House officials guaranteed the payment of loans made by banks to Iraq for the purchase of US farm products under a program run by the US Agriculture Department Commodity Credit Corporation. The approval provided that US taxpayers would indemnify the banks lending money to Iraq for the purchase of US food supplies if Iraq defaulted on the loan payments.

“These loans made possible the war capability for Iraq to invade Kuwait. In effect the US taxpayers, through their leaders, made possible the terrible bloodshed in the Gulf War. Some of the money furnished by the United States was used to purchase poison gas which was used on Iraqi Kurdish villages, much of it purchased through Cardoen Industries in Chile, a CIA asset.”

This is not just speculation. A 1994 US Senate Panel Report clearly indicates that between 1985 and 1989, US firms supplied micro-organisms needed for Iraq's chemical and biological warfare program. The Senate Panel noted: “It was later learned that these micro-organisms exported by the United states were identical to those the United Nations' inspectors found and removed from the Iraqi biological warfare program.” In other words Saddam Hussein has been set up and supported by the very powers he is ostensibly at odds with.

Late in 1998 tension once again escalated between Saddam Hussein and the West. The bombing campaign that resulted, conveniently coincided with calls for impeachment hearings for President Clinton. It ultimately transpired that Clinton avoided impeachment, but how much was this sudden escalation was an attempt to divert attention from Clinton's troubles at home?

As Felicity Arbuthnot has revealed it is the ordinary people of Iraq who are paying for this duplicity; which is probably why her work has largely been ignored by most of our so-called “free press”. According to Felicity the editor of one major newspaper wasn't interested in her reports because he wanted “a new angle” one Iraq. Perhaps he thought that these tragic and pathetic reports were “old news”, or maybe he though that the picture of a topless Sophie Rhys Jones was more deserving of broader public attention?

Either way, it has been estimated that sanctions, depleted uranium (1) and US bio-weapons have been responsible for the deaths of nearly half a million Iraqi children (2). We are talking about war crimes here, brutal and monumental; war crimes that have been perpetrated in the name of the New World Order and studiously ignored by most of the world's press. The question is, what are you going to do about it? If you do nothing else, show Felicity's article to your friends. Then question the half-truths, disinformation and downright lies fed to you, day-by-day, hour-by-hour, by a supposedly independent media.

In reality, Saddam Hussein in no more than a hired thug, a brutal stooge used by the powers that be to do their bidding. The real war criminals are Clinton and Blair and the hidden powers who really call the shots.

Significantly, George Bush first openly talked about New World Order during the Gulf War and this is what we are seeing in operation here. Its power rests on two things, fear and lies. According to Felicity, exactly the same tactics have been used in the former Yugoslavia as Alliance Forces are using in Iraq. On one level, in the former Yugoslavia, there has been a redefinition of the borders of an emergent European Union Superstate. On another level, something much more sinister has occurred: At the last count NATO bombing of the former republic had killed over 2,000 people. More than three-quarters of them were civilians; along with refugee columns and civilian buses, an old peoples' home, the Chinese Embassy, a TV station and a hospital had all been hit. Indeed virtually as many civilian institutions were hit as Serbian Army tanks.

Naturally NATO spokesmen maintain that these are all accidents, the media turn slavishly repeats this line. Yet in their hearts many feel a genuine disquiet about this. What they sense, if only dimly, is that they are indeed being fed a line. The truth though is so shocking that most people will simply find it beyond belief; namely, that the alliance forces are deliberately targeting civilians, in particular with air power.

Your average soldier simply will not do this. I know; for a number of years I served in the former Rhodesian Army's Special Forces. I was involved in a lot of combat and the men I fought alongside with were the real thing, hardened combat veterans: ex-British paras and marines, former US marines and airborne, former French Foreign Legionnaires. It was a warrior thing. We even had a couple of native American Indians in our ranks. Like me, they had joined up for action and adventure. Like me, they felt deeply uncomfortable if civilians got caught up in the fighting, as occasionally happened. This was more especially so if women and children were involved.

However, if you are flying an attack jet, looking at thermal imagery of your target through an array of technologies, it is an altogether different story. You are not simply distanced in terms of proximity; the critical factor of emotional immediacy is removed by the very technology of war itself.

Of course, this all adds weight to the line that “it was a mistake”. Yet we have heard this line so often that there is good reason to doubt it. Now I am not saying that the entire NATO air wing or every pilot has been briefed to target civilians. It may only be a few squadrons or even selected pilots. But as the following letter from Felicity to Tony Blair indicates these “mistakes” are part of a deliberate overall strategy, probably known only to a few”

“I have also noted that recently flocks of sheep and the little child shepherds who spend their days with them, have become a threat to allied air power. Flocks in Mosul and Nineveh have been targeted, as they have been in the south, near Basra. This cannot be written off as "collateral damage" - sheep look like sheep even from the air - not like military convoys, oil installations, bridges or barracks. Sheep are small, white and woolly. Usually in the Middle East, there are goats among the herds, these are small, brown or black and woolly. Could you explain why these are their little minders are being targeted?

Finally you responded to Mr Dalyell that you have no assessment as to the effect of depleted uranium (DU) weapons and do not target "....water supplies...." With apologies, this is facile. Anything which hits the ground eventually enters the water table, fauna, flora. Basra has radiation excesses which have been confirmed by Western experts at eighty four times the background level and directly contributed to by munitions dropped in the Gulf War.

As with Yugoslavia, correcting a wrong by causing decimation multiple times worse is clearly a tragic farce. And since the same weapons are a being using in Yugoslavia and accidentally dropped in Bulgaria, Macedonia, in Albania (Apache helicopters with DU on board), Montenegro and just missing Hungary; effectively bombing China, since an embassy is Sovereign territory, what radioactive legacy are we leaving for future generation? The cancer rate in Iraq has risen sevenfold since the Gulf War. In Bosnia it rose threefold after the 1995 bombings (when DU was used).”

This is the true face to the New World Order, not the deceptively sanitized version served up by a compliant media. Rather it is a brutal trans-national behemoth that owes its existence to disinformation and half-truths. Nothing shuts us off from our higher potential more than fear and lies. Which is why the ruling elite are so intent on spreading disinformation and the manipulation of wars and conflict. These are dark days, but at the risk of sounding trite, we are on the threshold of a new era, quite literally a new age is about to dawn: one in which this behemoth will be challenged by ordinary men and women as they awaken to the reality in which they live. All they will need is truth and courage to challenge the lies and fear propagated by the ruling elite.

According to ancient Mayan astrologers, the old world would end and a new age begins on December 12, 2012. Our Earth completes what astrologers call a precession of equinoxes in full around every 26,000 years, we are about to complete one such on December 12, 2012. In astrological terms it is the beginning of the Age of Aquarius when humanity's consciousness will fall under new cosmic influences.

As the crop circles portend these changes are already beginning to occur. In 1889 the Earth's resonant frequency, called the Base Resonant Frequency or the Schumann Cavity Resonance was identified. It has been called the Earth's heartbeat and essentially it is the frequency at which the planets electromagnetic fields are pulsating. These ULF pulsations form standing waves in the magnetosphere and between their discovery and the mid 1980's a steady pulse of around 7.8 hertz was maintained. Then they began to quicken: by the end of 1995 it was 8.6 Hertz and at the time of writing it was 14 hertz and still climbing.

It is worth nothing that when first shown to doctors, the Schumann Resonance was mistaken for a human brain wave printout.

The Mayan astrologers also said that there would be a transition period as the old world died and a new one was born. They called this transition period “No Time” and said it would begin in July 1982. If you are old enough you may have noticed how the days and years appear to be passing more quickly: This is not simply because you are getting older although, of course, that is true. The fact is that our perception of time is also changing. Other changes are occurring too. For example, the number of solar flares is increasing literally by the month. In January 1997 there were nineteen (19), by January 1999 that figure had risen to one hundred and thirty-six (136) and last month there were one hundred and fifty three (153).

This is all part of a cycle so I don't think we would worry about the Earth being engulfed by solar flares. It is, however, indicative of major cosmological changes taking place, these changes are being mirrored by corresponding geophysical changes. According to the American Geophysical Union: "For the past 2000 years the Earth's magnetic field has been weakening. At the going rate of decay, the north-south dipole would totally vanish, perhaps reversing polarity in the next 2000 years... The ongoing weakening of the field does not ensure that a reversal will occur. After all, the Earth's dipole reverses direction only on occasion, currently at a rate of a few times each million years."

The effects of this are physically apparent in isolated layers of sediment and at the poles themselves, so this is scientifically verifiable. It should also be mentioned that America's so-called "sleeping prophet" - Edgar Cayce, foresaw an impending shift in the Earth's polarity. He also noted that our thoughts, attitudes and feelings affect the very Earth itself: in other words our thoughts and feelings impress themselves on to physical matter. This happens cumulatively, on an individual level and collectively too. On an individual level many haunting are associated with traumatic events, suicides, murders, tragic love affairs and so on. In such cases the emotions involved have impressed themselves onto the physical background. This same process occurs collectively too, so whether these geophysical charges are catastrophic or not, will ultimately be in response to the collective nature of our thoughts and feelings.

In a sense, this is humanity's coming of age when, as a species, we will see our childhood end. The transition from childhood to adulthood is often a difficult time, fraught with confusion and uncertainty as new knowledge and responsibilities are revealed. In many ancient cultures this period of transition was attended by a process of initiation as some of the higher mysteries were revealed: Testing and difficult these initiations, if passed, led to a new understanding of who he or she was. Collectively speaking it will be no different for humanity but there is not turning back now, change is upon us.

The ancient Maya, the Hopi and the ancient Egyptians all knew this time was coming; they referred to it as the “Shift of Ages”. According to Gregg Braden in “The Shift toward Zero Point” many ancient structures - the Great Pyramid, certain temples and the Mayan Pyramids - contain areas that simulate low magnetic fields and a high Resonant Frequency. Exactly the conditions we have now. In this way the ancients were able to experience what we are now beginning to undergo, in the light of their own understanding. In turn they tried to prepare the way for what is essentially our own initiation: Via symbols, architecture and various mystery traditions (3) they were trying to tell us what we need to know in order to pass through these testing times.

A while back a friend said that higher knowledge was pouring into this world, as these geophysical and cosmological changes signify. However if humanity is distracted by lies and disinformation, contrived entertainment and controversy, and orchestrated conflict and fear that knowledge will not be recognized for what it is. Instead we will be drawn deeper into a vortex of imbalance and ignorance, which is exactly what the ruling elite want, whilst they hoard this precious knowledge for themselves. So ultimately the choice is yours: fear and lies or truth, clarity and clear calm courage. Like they say, it's your call.

1) Depleted Uranium (DU) is created when uranium is processed for nuclear warheads. Lower grade uranium is stockpiled for in weapons like the 30mm used by A-10 Warthog. This lower grade uranium is still radioactive. It has been estimated that over 600,000 lbs of DU was left all over Iraq in the aftermath of the Gulf War.
